    The Central Library, one of the iconic structures of TIET, occupies a prominent place on the campus, and it is truly the “Heart of the Academic Institute.” The Architecture of the library is world-acclaimed and ranked 13th among the most stunning academic library buildings in the world. The Library is housed in a centrally air-conditioned, aesthetically designed building with about 1.5 lakh books, more than 5 lakh ebooks, 40 thousand plus e-journals & conferences, and a large quantity of database to cater to the needs of the academic fraternity. The fully automated library is equipped with an RFID system, a shelf-check system, and resources that make all processes smooth and transparent.




    ABOUT THAPAR INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY

    Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) is a premier educational and research Institute located in the 250-acre lush green campus, known as Thapar Technology Campus (TTC), in the historic city of Patiala. It came into existence in 1956 through an imaginative collaboration between the then State of Patiala and the East Punjab States Union (PEPSU), the Central Government and the Patiala Technical Education Trust (PTET) founded by the great captain of Indian Industry, Late Lala Karam Chand Thapar.
